ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 1-day WFH

This role is primarily responsible for managing supplier payments and relationships while also providing administrative and analytical support to the Commercial Manager. Key responsibilities include reporting, reconciliations, and other tasks as required.

 

The Accounts Payable position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial and administrative efficiency of the division, ensuring smooth operations and delivering essential support to the Commercial Manager.

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Supplier Invoices

 

  • Maintain up-to-date supplier rates and overrides within Workbuddy.
  • Process weekly payment uploads into AX, adhering to agreed deadlines.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of outstanding invoices, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Handle CAPEX invoice processing, ensuring all invoices include an Asset Requisition Number and New Assets Form.
  • Reconcile relevant invoices, such as telephone expenses, uniform and stationery invoices in exflow.

 

 

Reports and Reconciliations

 

  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures relevant to the role.

 

 

Daily Operations, Administration, and Reporting

 

  • Monitor supplier inboxes, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Provide clear and effective updates to key personnel on administrative matters.
  • Oversee the management of overhead expenses, including stationery and consumables.
  • Support the Commercial Manager with data entry, month-end processing, and accrual preparation.

Key Requirements

 

  • Minimum two years of accounting experience.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with an aptitude for IT systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field.
