We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to join our Workplace Relations team in Victoria. In this role, you will partner with managers and stakeholders across Wilson Security and the broader Wilson Group to deliver practical, commercially focused ER/IR solutions and support positive workplace outcomes.
Duties will include:
• Provide accurate, practical, and timely advice on employee and industrial relations matters, including employment legislation, enterprise agreements, Modern Awards, policies, compliance requirements, and workplace risk
• Conduct workplace investigations, ensuring matters are managed professionally, fairly, and with thorough documentation
• Partner with leaders and managers to support performance management, employee feedback, conflict resolution, and other people-related matters
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive positive workplace outcomes and enhance leadership capability
• Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and education initiatives to improve understanding of workplace relations and people management practices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of employee and industrial relations strategies that align with business objectives and industry best practice
• Review, maintain, and enhance workplace policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and support a positive employee experience
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Workplace Relations function, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will require:
• 4-5 years' experience in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations or a closely related field within a complex, multi-site environment
• Alternatively, experience as an HR Business Partner with a strong interest in developing and expanding your ER/IR expertise
• Hands-on experience managing employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflict resolution
• Experience supporting and conducting workplace investigations involving complex employee relations issues
• Exposure to enterprise bargaining processes and industrial relations frameworks
• Strong understanding of industrial instruments, including Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and employment contracts
• Proven ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation, partnering with operational leaders, senior management, payroll, health and safety, and HR teams
• Experience supporting organisational change initiatives and change management processes
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a strong customer-focused approach
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and see tasks through to completion
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and provide clear, practical advice
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including experience working with people-related data and reporting
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Confidence using AI and large language model (LLM) tools to improve productivity, research, and workplace outcomes
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in Law, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline are highly regarded
• Equivalent industry experience in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, or Human Resources will also be considered
• Additional qualifications or professional development in workplace relations, employment law, mediation, investigations, or people management will be viewed favourably
