We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Wilson Storage business as a Finance Business Partner. Wilson Storage offers secure self-storage, business hubs, packaging, office, and training space solutions throughout Victoria, New South Wales, and Tasmania. Our exceptional customer service and state-of-the-art facilities distinguish us in the industry.
Partnering with senior leaders, providing in-depth financial analysis, strategic insights, reporting and comprehensive financial support, you will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, identifying emerging trends, and turning data-driven insights into actionable opportunities that create real business value.
Along with providing Leadership and Support to the Management Accountant and wider finance function, you will foster a culture of growth and development while strengthening the financial capabilities across the business. Your will take ownership of providing comprehensive month end results analysis translating financial data into executive level reporting and insights. You will also take ownership of the Annual Budget and Quarterly forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with the business’s growth plan and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Business Partnering:
- Build strong and trusted partnering relationships with Storage senior leaders and our external partners
- Drive strategic financial conversations, challenge conventional thinking and foster commercial innovation
- Deliver meaningful data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance and achieve strategic goals
- Transform complex financial data into clear narratives that shape business strategy
Strategic Planning & Performance Management:
- Lead and execute the annual Budget and Forecasting cycles with precision and alignment to the business’s growth plans and strategic goals
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop accurate cost forecasts and drive accountability
- Provide timely analysis and commentary on financial performance, highlighting opportunities and risks
- Deliver high-quality reporting and presentations to support executive decision-making
Financial Management & Governance:
- Oversee the delivery of the Storage P&L and Balance Sheet by the Management Accountant, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee the Management Accountant in the delivery of efficient and timely month-end close processes and their effective management of the finance team in Manila.
- Manage site cost allocation with the Management Accountant and Chief Operating Officer for accurate financial reporting.
- Work closely with the Management Accountant and Corporate Accounting team to maintain compliance and financial best practices. Important to ensure our ISO Accreditation is retained.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and data for efficiency gains
- Enhance financial reporting, analytics, and decision-support tools through the use of Excel and dashboards
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and financial literacy across the business
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure an agile and forward-thinking finance function
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- CA/CPA qualified (Beneficial)
- Experience in business partnering or in a commercial finance role within a dynamic organisation
- Experience in month-end procedures, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost management
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data and trends for decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial advice and commercial insights
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility
- Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics (Finance and Operations)

- Experience in business partnering and management accounting

- Experience working in a team environment and managing staff
