We're looking for a motivated Junior Systems Engineer to join the Wilson Parking technology team and help support the systems that keep our parking operations running smoothly across Australia.

In this hands-on role, you'll work across a broad range of parking technology solutions, including software applications, databases, hardware, reporting tools and operational systems. Working alongside experienced technical specialists and business stakeholders, you'll troubleshoot issues, support users and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our technology environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for parking technology systems, software applications and internal users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across software, hardware, databases and connected systems.
  • Support system maintenance, upgrades, testing and technology rollouts.
  • Assist with SQL queries, reporting and database management.
  • Contribute to software development and support using C#, JavaScript and SQL.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides and support resources.
  • Deliver user training and provide ongoing support to non-technical teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and operational teams to deliver technology solutions.
  • Travel occasionally to support projects, system implementations and operational requirements

 

 What You'll Be Working With

As part of our Technology team, you'll help support and maintain the critical systems that power Wilson Parking's operations across Australia. Experience with, or exposure to, the following technologies will be highly regarded:

  • Parking technology systems and operational platforms.
  • Access control, intercom, payment and ticketing systems.
  • Microsoft SQL Server and database environments.
  • Web-based applications and business systems.
  • Windows Server environments.
  • Reporting and business intelligence tools.
  • Vendor management and field-based technical support.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a technical support, systems support, help desk or junior software/database support role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve software, hardware and system issues.
  • Technical knowledge of databases and programming, including SQL, C# and JavaScript.
  • Experience supporting applications, systems and users in a business environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, user guides or support materials.
  • Comfortable working with a diverse user base and collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, graduate qualification or relevant certification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology environments and business-critical systems.
  • A practical, reliable and customer-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
