ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Location: Essendon Fields
- Full-Time permanent role
- Occasional interstate travel
- Potential earnings up to 160k plus super + 20k motor vehicle allowance
The National Key Account Manager leads national contract operations, applying a strategic approach to client account management to maximise mutual value. This role drives performance against service level agreements and budgets, providing leadership to account teams and stakeholders to ensure safe, legal, and compliant service delivery.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relationship & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong multi-level client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor on security.
- Develop and execute account plans to drive profitability, growth, and service innovation.
- Maximise margins through technology adoption and efficiency strategies.
- Ensure contractual service delivery meets agreed KPIs and financial targets.
Leadership
- Provide clear, strategic leadership across operational teams nationally.
- Set objectives, drive accountability, and oversee performance at all levels.
- Manage key issues, stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Support business development and future pipeline growth.
Performance Management
- Lead the development and execution of annual service plans with a focus on profit and continuous improvement.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure legal compliance and uphold company standards across all operational areas.
Reporting & Governance
- Oversee performance reporting and compliance, providing actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support and guide change initiatives across the account.
Training & Development
- Conduct training needs analyses and ensure ongoing professional development.
- Ensure site and contract-specific training is completed and documented.
Innovation
- Foster a culture of innovation by engaging stakeholders and SMEs.
- Lead collaborative efforts to design and implement operational improvements.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Extensive experience in high-volume, medium to large service environments
- Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate systems and processes
- Strong experience in developing and managing budgets
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Senior management experience in dynamic, changing industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to deliver practical solutions
- Effective project management and strategic planning capabilities
- Ability to respond to market conditions with innovative solutions
- Skilled in presenting complex strategic issues to mid-level management
- Experience in corporate real estate, security, or facilities management is highly desirable but not essential
