Security Manager 

About the role:

The Security Manager plays a pivotal role in leading a team of Security Officers, ensuring the seamless operation and performance of our premium high-profile site. This position is fully accountable for site oversight and serves as a critical link to State Operations Management. The Site Supervisor upholds high standards in team administration, including maintaining accurate records of duties, training matrices, and other essential reports. As the primary point of contact within the Supervisory/Management chain, the security manager leads by example and is entrusted with the vital responsibility of safeguarding people and property and fostering a secure and safe environment.

 

Key Duties include: 

Leadership

  • Supervise and develop a team of Security Officers, ensuring clear communication, timely support, and fostering a positive site culture.
  • Manage site operations, exceed contractual obligations, and improve processes to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
  • Lead by example in security tasks, including patrolling, monitoring, and responding to incidents.

 

Security Response

  • Provide immediate response to security incidents, investigate disturbances, and coordinate with authorities when needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports on daily activities and irregularities.

 

Professionalism

    • Represent Wilson Security with integrity, adhering to SOPs, corporate policies, and OH&S standards.

 

Compliance

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, ensuring operational compliance and best practices.

 

Skills and requirements:

Leadership Skills:

    • Ability to take charge in the absence of the Site Manager.
    • Experience in managing a team, including rostering and task delegation.

 

Operational Management:

    • Proficient in running high-portfolio sites, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.
    • Strong understanding of site compliance, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

 

Technical Skills:

    • Experience with access control systems and CCTV monitoring.
    • Ability to manage footage as needed.

 

Customer Service:

    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively assist customers with their requests.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of service and respond to customer needs promptly.

 

Problem-Solving:

  • Capable of identifying and addressing issues on site, ensuring efficient resolution.

 

Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with the team, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to convey information and expectations to the team.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Security License
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Cert IV in security management would be highly desirable 
  • Previous experience in a Security Manager role would be highly desirable
