ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Location: Melbourne CBD and suburb locations 

• Full-time 24/7 available
• Pay rate from Level 2 – Level 5
• Must have control room endorsement on security license
• Victorian Security, Category H handgun License

Wilson Security is expanding in Melbourne. VIC, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the Whole of state.  This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.

These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers. They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Control room duties – monitoring and operating CCTV cameras including premises patrol and reporting suspicious activity.

(Control room operators will only be expected to do patrols on exception.)

• Assisting with emergency situations via CCTV until resources has been deployed
• Access control management and Alarm/fire monitoring – ensuring site compliance is always adhered to
• Communications with Emergency services and Police - when required
• Maintaining Security & Visitor logbooks, Weapons register and Lost/Found register
• Writing daily activity reports into the reporting system.
• Competent in use of MS computer systems
• Competent use of security software such as Gallagher, Genetec and Tecom electronic security systems will be highly regarded
• Provide excellent customer service  

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Australian Citizen or Full working rights
• Victorian Security License (current)
• Victorian Security, Category H handgun License (current)
• Control room endorsement on security licence
• Working with Children check – (desirable)
• Current valid Driver’s license
• Competent in MS Office and associated programs
• Well-presented and have excellent verbal / written communication skills
• 24hr flexibility to work a rotating roster – 12 hr shifts
