 We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems across a diverse customer base. You will provide high-quality technical support, diagnose and resolve system issues, respond to service and emergency repair requests, and ensure exceptional customer service at every interaction. Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining reliable security solutions while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

 

Key Duties include: 

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems

• Diagnose hardware and software issues, coordinating repairs and replacements to minimise downtime and ensure optimal system performance

• Deliver on-site installation projects in accordance with client requirements, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget

• Monitor and maintain security system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and proactive maintenance

• Provide technical support and expert advice to clients, ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction

• Manage and maintain client asset fleets in line with agreed service delivery standards and performance expectations

• Prepare accurate service reports, documentation, and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders

• Work in accordance with company and client policies, procedures, emergency management requirements, and industry best practices

• Ensure all installations, maintenance, and repairs are completed in compliance with manufacturer specifications and relevant standards

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, products, and industry developments to support continuous improvement and service excellence

 

 

 

Skills and requirements:

 

3 + years' experience in a Service Technician, Security Technician, or similar technical support role

• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, networking, infrastructure, and electronic information management systems

• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a range of hardware and software solutions

• Sound understanding of relevant Australian legislation, standards, and industry best practices, with awareness of applicable international standards being advantageous

• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

• Strong computer literacy, with confidence using a variety of software applications, systems, and digital tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities

• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery

 

 

 

Qualifications & Licences:

• Certificate III or higher in a relevant technical discipline such as ICT, Systems, Security Installation, Telecommunications, or Electrical

• Current Security Licence Installer/Certification (required)

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)

• White Card (required)

• Working at Heights certification (preferred)

• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket (required)

• Experience with, or certifications in, leading security and networking platforms such as Lenel, Axis & Gallagher (required)

• Additional industry certifications and technical qualifications will be viewed favourably
