ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Full Time Opportunity
  • 12-hour shifts (typically) Days are rotational day and night shifts - Weekdays and nights in a fortnight roster.
  • Level 4 award rate
  • Applicable Team Leader Allowance

 

 

Wilson Security is seeking an all-rounded Team Leader to manage a team of Security Officers/Control Room Operators for an iconic multifaceted complex located in the Melbourne, CBD. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that is subject to change and requires a driven and passionate person with a strong desire to make a difference.

 

This position is primarily undertaking and managing various functions such as Control Room, Facility Management support, Patrols and Customer Service within a large multifaceted site.

 

You will be supported and mentored by an experienced Security and Facility Management team who wants to see you succeed and are committed to delivering a premium service to our customers, tenants, and visitors.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

 

  • Provide operational support to the facility management team to deliver and exceed service expectations.
  • Produce high quality reports and documentation.
  • Ensure Contractor Compliance through Site Inductions and Review and Process of Correct Access/Work Permits
  • Have a flexible and focused work ethic.
  • Be proactive in Safety and Security Risk identification and issue resolution.
  • Train, guide, and mentor a team of Security Officers
  • Assess all alarms, incidents, and emergencies and provide the appropriate response.

 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain resilience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of Building/Facilities Management and Contractor Compliance will be highly regarded.
  • Intermediate computer skills and use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience using Fire (FIP, EWIS, ASE) and Security Systems (CCTV, Access, DVM) will be highly regarded.
  • Access Control and (BMS) Building Management Systems (previous experience with Honeywell systems will be highly regarded)
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Client-centric approach with a positive attitude to change and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership skills, the ability to drive and lead your team.
  • Previous experience as a Chief Warden will be highly regarded.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES:

 

  • Valid Victorian Security Licence (Control Room Endorsed)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
