THE POSITION

 

As an Area Operations Manager, you will manage a medium-sized portfolio of car parks. You will combine staff leadership and all aspects of operational management to maintain high performance and profitability.

 

Reporting to the Business Manager Operations, the role will position you as a vital conduit between the operations team, clients, and staff and you will be tasked with managing key client relationships. Computer literacy is essential as is experience in facilities management and maintenance. As such this is an ideal role for a driven individual willing to "roll up their sleeves" and take some positive steps towards advancing their career in a growing, multi-site operational environment.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Successful applicants will:

  • Have 5+ years of management experience within a client service industry (ideally in retail, hospitality, commercial facilities, or other service industries)
  • Tertiary qualifications in business are highly desirable, but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in best practice people management and working knowledge of the application of relevant Awards or industrial instrument
  • Strong Commercial and Financial acumen and broad experience in budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and cost control over a multi-site operation
  • Very high levels of numerate and literate competency
  • Demonstrated competence in situation analysis and decision-making
  • Strong time management skills developed through involvement in multi-site, multi-tasking operations
  • Demonstrated evidence of facilitating clear communication and direction to staff at all levels
  • Significant experience in maintaining client relationships at all levels
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
