THE ROLE
Wilson Security is seeking an experienced Site Security Manager to lead a 24/7 security operation within a highly sensitive, regulated and mission‑critical environment in Perth, Western Australia.
This role has full accountability for security operations, workforce readiness and compliance, requiring a leader who understands that effective security outcomes rely on disciplined planning, professional standards and trusted people.
You will act as the key interface between Wilson Security, the client and frontline personnel, ensuring that operational intent, contractual obligations and security expectations are translated into clear site instructions, validated workforce capability and consistent service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SECURITY OPERATIONS AND LEADERSHIP
- Lead, mentor and manage a professional security workforce operating on a 24/7 roster
- Maintain operational control of access control, patrols, incident response and escalation pathways
- Act as the primary site‑level representative for Wilson Security with client stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with legislative, licensing, contractual and policy requirements
- Oversee incident management, reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Foster a safety‑first, accountable and professional site culture
WORKFORCE PLANNING, CAPABILITY AND ASSURANCE
- Maintain Workforce Planning documentation, including:
- Training matrices and competency records
- Site‑specific qualifications and validation registers
- Deployment readiness and role suitability tracking
- Ensure personnel are appropriately trained, upskilled and validated against client and site requirements
- Proactively identify capability gaps and coordinate training or redeployment
- Forecast current and future staffing requirements, including surge, leave and contingency coverage
- Utilise Wilson Security and Client workforce planning, rostering and assurance processes to support staffing decisions
- Provide accurate workforce and capability data to Operations Management
ROLE PRE‑REQUISITES (MANDATORY)
Applicants must currently hold or be eligible to obtain the following:
- ASD Occupational Suitability Assessment (OSA)
- AGSVA TSPV Security Clearance
- Current Western Australian Security Licence
- Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current and valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated experience working with highly sensitive or security‑restricted information
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, manage and motivate a professional security team operating 24/7
- Strong capability to interpret client intent and convert it into clear site instructions and workforce plans

- Security clearance and suitability requirements
- Licensing, medical and training currency
- Wilson Security screening, compliance and performance standards
