Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant, with experience in a labour or manpower business. This role reports directly to the Commercial Manager and works closely with Finance Executives within the Wilson Group.

Wilson Medic One provides medical services in the areas of patient transport, healthcare training, medical placements, and event medical solutions.

The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping this growing business by getting involved in all commercial aspects of the business and providing management with business insights.

The candidate will be trained on all aspects of each business stream and will work closely with the Operation Leads to improve the performance of each stream.

The candidate will also assist in building costing models for new business and be part of the team rolling out a new Group ERP.

 

Key Duties Include:

  • Experienced in understanding industrial instruments and performing Better Off Overall Tests (BOOT).
  • Provide management with insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Getting involved in the operations to influence and change outcomes.
  • Preparing monthly profit and loss statements and reports.
  • Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliation and managing debtors.
  • Prepare quarterly forecast and annual budgets, in consultation with management.
  • Review commercial proposals and tender bids.
  • Lead all communications with corporate office including assisting with yearend audit requirements and the rollout of a new ERP (Dynamix 365).

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a labour hire, manpower business where salaries and wages make up a considerable percentage of the total cost.
  • Understanding of payroll and BOOT test essential.
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly in Excel and powerpoint.
  • Ability to review, adopt and or implement process efficiency initiatives.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
