ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

  • Location: Brisbane CBD University Campus
  • Full Time Opportunity available as a Rapid Response Officer
  • Monday to Friday shifts available
  • 8 hour shifts on a 2-week rotation – Week 1: 6:00AM – 2:00PM, Week 2: 2:00PM – 10:00PM
  • Level 4 Award and includes Supervisor Allowance

 

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the Emergency Control Officer (ECO) by responding appropriately to security incidents, fires, medical emergencies, and other relevant situations as they arise.
  • Patrol libraries, Main Drive, and other high-activity or high-risk areas.
  • Ensure full and accurate records are maintained for all incidents and events on campus, and advise the Security Manager of any significant events that occur.
  • Ensure the equipment needs of the section are met.
  • Provide training to new and existing security staff, and assist the Fire Safety Adviser with activities such as ECO training and emergency drills.
  • Update security runsheets and lock-up/unlock procedures as required.
  • Perform other relevant duties as directed by the Security Manager or their delegate.
  • Conduct monthly audits of keys, radios, and AEDs, and submit reports.
  • Conduct Safety & Security surveys (minimum of five per business day on day shift) and record results in Noggin.
  • Cover Concierge Officer breaks as required.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and write reports
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Computers and Security related systems (Access Control, CCTV, Microsoft Programmes)
  • Crowd Control endorsement will be highly desirable
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
