ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

  • Salary of up to 140k plus super, dependent on experience + 20k vehicle allowance + incentives scheme
  • Electronic Security sector
  • Taren Point, NSW, working location
  • Monday-Friday
  • Full-time permanent position

 

 

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive business growth by identifying, engaging, and securing high-value clients across key sectors.

You’ll focus on delivering integrated security solutions, building strong relationships with industry specialists, clients, and internal teams to support business retention and profitable growth.

Working collaboratively, you’ll develop tailored proposals and innovative service models that align with client needs, market trends, and Wilson Security’s commercial objectives.

Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert, helping strengthen Wilson Security’s brand and market presence.

 



 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Strategic Business Development

 

  • Identify and engage high-value or strategic new clients aligned with Wilson Security’s growth strategy.
  • Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline across target sectors and states through market research and engagement with key decision-makers.
  • Develop tailored value propositions and coordinate site visits, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Maintain strong market awareness, competitor insights, and compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Meet growth targets and provide accurate, timely reporting of business development activities.

 

Sector Expertise & Collaboration

 

  • Partner with sector leads (Government, Resources, Transport, Infrastructure, Data Centres, etc.) to align strategies and client outreach.
  • Contribute to sector-specific value propositions, best-practice solutions, and innovation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer teams on sector events and client engagement activities.
  • Represent Wilson Security at industry forums and networks to strengthen market presence.

 

 

Bid & Solutions Development

 

  • Work with bid, pricing, and legal teams to develop commercially viable and compelling client proposals.
  • Support solution design and costing to align with client needs and strategic objectives.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, and supporting materials to maximise win rates.

 

 

Reporting & Pipeline Management

 

  • Manage all client and opportunity data within Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline performance, market insights, and competitor intelligence.
  • Support planning, forecasting, and post-bid analysis to inform future growth strategies.

  • Proficient in CRM and project management tools, plus the Microsoft Suite
  • Comfortable working within diverse teams and environments

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • highly experienced in business development or strategic sales, ideally within electronic security.
  • Proven success in complex, multi-site or integrated solution environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in solution design, bid development, contract reviews, and pricing
  • Demonstrated track record in driving new solution sales and managing long sales cycles
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Current NSW Security Licence
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check
  • Must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident
